You may want to take a look at the NEF and Rossi single shots. I bought a NEF .223 and really like it. Here is the rifle and a target I shot. The group is a 5 shot group with 55gr Remington PSPs. The first shot was in the orange. The shot low and to the left was my fault, not the rifle. I don't think it's too bad considering I paid less than $200 for the rifle and the only thing I was using for a rest is my jacket thrown over the side of my truck.
