RE: cva dangerous?
tommydelvis.. I would like to take this opportunity personallyto thank you for sharing your incident and all the particulars with us. All to often things like this happen and the person(s) injured are bought off and a gag order placed and other people never learn the truth. It takes a lot of fortitude let alone unselfishness on your part. You could have sold out I'm sure. Instead you felt it more important to get the word out to fellow black powder shooters so any tragic similar event might not happen again.
There are always going to be those that doubt your story. Or there will be those that embrace it. I am sure the parent company BPIwill do their best to cloud over the fact or even suggest that something is not true. But hang in there.
I shoot CVA rifles, both inline and traditional. I've put hundreds of rounds through the rifles and they work perfect. Why your rifle decided to blow will be disputed between many for years to come. But again, I do thank you for your willingness to bring this to the attention of the muzzleloading population. Please keep us informed if there is any technical information that is brought to light in the up coming investigation.
Again let me express that any injury I consider serious, those you suffered did not have a life ending story to them. Thanks for sharing the fact of the incident. And I wish you a very speedy recovery.
