RE: Savage dropped the .260 & 7MM-08 ???
I had a left Hand bolt action Savage package gun in 260. I really liked the rifle and caliber. I fell on hard times and had to sell it but would highly reccomend the 260. Light recoil and pretty good ballistics. I had one 7mm-08 some years back in the Browning lever action rifle. The caliber was great but my rifle would not handle handloads very well and I got rid of it. I would someday like to pick up a 7mm08 in the model seven Rem.
