Here it is again!!!! LOL!!!!!!! Folks seem to think U need a magnum for elk....what a crock!!!!!!! shooter1966, the .270 has killed 10's of thoushands of elk and quite handily at that!!! folks on here keep up with the words bullet placement and range!!! well I would hope that, that would go with out saying!!LOL!!!! BUT I know that there are some out there that DO rely on the extra little ummpf that they get from the magnum,s to make up for their short comings as shooters!!! bigger is not allways better!!! keep U're .270 and go kill an elk!!!!!
yes, this statement is insulting to those of us who choose to shoot a bigger gun at elk. Just give your opinion and leave it at that, instead of insinuating that "some" of us are making up for our shortcomings as shootersand lack of body part size. Statements like this do lend themselves for some to make comebacks. I make it a policy that no matter what, I won't lower myself to the level of insulting anyone. You seem to think it is OK to insult someone who you feel has insulted you. When you get down on the floor, you will get dirty.

I have said my piece about this subject, but I will make one more comment. I own a 222, a 243, a 270, a 30-06, a 7mm mag, and a 338 win mag. Not to mention the 3 muzzleloaders I own. THERE IS NO PERFECT, DO IT ALL GUN! That is why they make so many different ones!
