WOW.....I guess I kicked over not just the can of worms but the entire freezer at the bait shop!!!! Didnt mean to get anyone wound up!!

Anyway....there is some good advice in here amongst the ball busitng

1. Im a fan of the right tool right place....I am going to spend good money to go play in the hills...so i dont want to have to "pass" up a chance.

2. I dont like to bust up a perfectly good animal for the 'yotes and bears to find...F' them get thier own!

3. I did buy the Encore for versitility.....so with that said I will be adding a .300 to the collection.

I appeciate the input guys it just seemed like everytime the .270 is discussed everyone had a "but and if" asscocaited with it. I will tell you what will happen...Im going to buy a .300 and will kill one at oh...60yds..thats just how it happens for me

Im a deer hunter....and have piled up more then my share....Im clueless about elk. So believe me I do thank you guys!
