Hey all, we made it to Vegas. Took a picture of the temperature today which showed 123 above. It hit 125 as the high, and I managed to survive loading and hauling about 1,000 pounds of our stuff we had shipped down around the parking lots and stairs into the apartment. A bit warm out, but in all honosty, not as bad as I had expected it. I would get tired easier and faster, but as long as I didn' t walk on the pavement barefoot, or touch anything that might be a tad too hot, I did fine. It' s weird right now because it is dark outside. Haven' t seen that in a couple of months.
Got some king fishing in the other day before I headed south. We got some lures wet, but didn' t manage to hook into a bright red chinook on the Chena. They were rolling around us, and in the few hours we were there, only two were caught. They just weren' t interested, but I can' t blame them.
Nearly 1am here, so I' m off to bed. Nim, congrats on the pike and good luck with the rest of the season. Hope you manage to catch up to the competition! Phish, I hope all works out for the bou hunt. We are headed out the 31st for a short week of hunting, so hopefully we can get some bou meat down your way somehow this year.
