RE: cva dangerous?
All the details that I have gotten were from his brotherand theyare that it was a 90 grain charge of loose powder either pyrodex or triple7.He said that at times he had used one or the other and a powerbelt bullet.
I also had him to ask to make sure that he hadn't short loaded it,which he said he had not I e-mailed him tonight to see if he would post it here so you could get all the facts straight from him.
I know a lot of people who think it may have been human error. I don’t know I wasn’t there and neither were they and all we can go on is what we are told and what our experiences have been and form our opinion from that. Whether we agree or dissagree but strange things do happen.
Some may think it was CVA’s fault? Yes it could have been a bad barrel. Do I think everyOptima will explode sooner or later? Absolutely not
I have owned and shot them in the past and am considering buying one now from the brother I work with. I guess he is a little gun shy of it now, all things considering.
No matter what was the cause I’m just glad that he was not more seriously hurt. From looking at the pictures it could have been really bad.
