The average I've seen is probably close to 50 yards, some less, some more.
The Muley I shotthis monthran full blast but only went 30 yards before piling up.
To keep the bloodtrails short and very visible, keepyour shots in the boiler room, keep them in the bottom 1/3 of the Deer, and strive forconsistent pass throughs.

I don't remember the last time that I didn't get a pass through.
