Default RE: decent .30-.30

The Savage 340 and its other variations in Stevens and I believe JCPenney. They where pretty good guns with descent accuracy. About the only real problems that I had with any of the 3 that I have owned has been the clip needing to be bent a bit to keep the bullets feeding properly. You can usually find them at pawn shops and used gun dealers. Some even came with factory peeps. Most bolt guns have been chambered for 30-30 at one time or another, mostly those made up until about the 60's from what I have read. The biggest benefit to using the 30-30 cartridge in a bolt gun is that you can handload pointed bullets in them.
