I've got a Remington 788 Bolt Action that my dad gave me when I was ten. He got it used 33 years ago, extremely reliable, never had any problems. However I don't even think that they are made anymore, but if you could find a used I think that would be the ticket, like I said I love mine and it's been used pretty hard the last 30 to 40 years without any problems that I can remember.
