No, not at all. Folks should use whatever they want. It is fun to try new things.

But if you are a good hunter, have good deer country to hunt, and several dayshunting time, it should not be a problem toget a deer on the ground. Obviously there are no guarantees in hunting.

The gist of what i am saying is that the hunting industry promotes their products to make money.It is in their interest to convince people that their products are useful, if not essential. I feel many hunters get too caught up in the marketing, and too distracted by employing the various products.
