Default RE: sako/tikka rifles

I just sold my A-Bolt and bought a Tikka Whitetail Hunter in 7mm Rem. Mag, stainless, laminated stock. Gun is guarenteed to shoot 1" at 100 yards. Price was great, detachable external magazine, silky-smooth action. I love my Tikka!!!

Tikka is made by Sako of course. The T3' s are not quite as nice so look for one of the other models. They both use the same barrels so I think the Tikka is the better deal. Sako is great too but you get more for your money with the Tikka.

This is another site I frequent and they rave about the Tikka' s there;

At least find one and hold it and run the action. I can' t see how you can go wrong with a Tikka (but avoid the T3 unless you really like it in person). The stock on the T3 synthetic is cheap-feeling and they cut corners this year by making them all long-action but using a spacer in the magazine to accomodate short-action calibers.
