although the pic doesnt do justice to its finish,
that one was done in 5160 with wrought iron fittings ( hence the "wood grain look" of the guards ) with thuya burl, purpleheart and maple handle.
that one sold for 250
basically in answer to your question, the reason I do various finishes is for variety, I'm an artist, not a factory... and I like to vary my styles and techniques, some people like shiny, some people like rustic, its a personal preference thing.
