about the hollow point bullets,I think they are going to pass through a coyote unless he's way out there or it's a frontal shot,my 223 with ballistic tips or rem.45 gr. hollow points usually goes all the way through a broadsidecoyote and sometimes looks pretty bad on the exit side so I think that a soft point is the answer for a factory load,and if you reload just listen to #40 the way he kills coyotes I'm sure he's probably killed several with this caliber,nothing bad meant to you #40 you must have a lot of coyote hunting ground with a lot of coyotes.
