Default RE: More Spin From RSB

That ranks as one of most ignorant posts I have seen in a long time, except for the posts by B jim,BTB and livbucks.
A deer in the northeast with three points on one side is in all likelyhood a 2.5 year old deer. Of course there are exceptions, but as a rule, it works pretty well.
The antlered buck survey showed that around 50% of the 1.5 buck had at least 3 pt. one side. Since there are at least twice as many 1.5 buck as 2.5+ buck that means there are a lot more 1.5 bucks with at least 3 pts. to one side than 2.5 buck.
The other part of the equation was if the deer reached 2.5 years old, it had a much better chance of reaching 3 or 4 years of age before it was harvested. This in and of itself would increase the buck doe ratio as bucks tend to get smarter as they age and experience a couple of hunting seasons.

Wrong again. The antlered buck study showed that only 20% of the 2.5+ buck survived to become 3.5+ buck. That is the same survival rate as for 1.5 buck, prior to ARs.
