I fought the same thing last year. Heck, one of the trees I set up in was so big, I had to use 2 straps on each section of stick. It wore me outsetting that stand up honestly, and then to top it off I didn't see squat out of it LOL

I don't think there is an easy way to do it. The only thing that could help imo, would be to have a partner with you with a extension ladder on the backside to assist you. I have very few trees like this where I hunt, so I dont have that issue much.
