RE: Burris Fullfield II
I have a Fullfield II on my 30-06 that replaced my Leupold that kept having problems. Now I can't comment on how long it will last as I've only had it on there about a month. Well, probably not quite that. I got it for an awesome deal at Dicks Sporting Goods for $199.99 with a free Garmin Etrex GPS. It was on clearance and had the GPS with it. I thought that was too good of a deal to pass up. I kept having issues with the Leupold VX-I I had on my rifle so I put this on. I didn't like the Leupold at all. Has been into Leupold 2 times in the 1 1/2 years I've had it. I have a $30 Tasco that's lasted longer and to me is just as clear. A few buddies all said it looked clearer to them. So I just didn't get people saying to go with a quality scope like the Leupold and it would be clearer. However, after I put the Burris on I saw what they are talking about. It blew the Leupold, Tasco, and Simmons I have away clarity wise. Just a nice clear scope even in low light. One thing I didn't like about the Leupold was no matter how I adjusted the eye relief I couldn't get it so the cross hairs were super easy to see. If you looked through it more than a couple seconds they became hard to see for me. The Burris doesn't do this. So far I just can't say enough good about the Burris. I will have to see how it holds up.
