My motto when it comes to bows for kids and girlfriends is this:

If you can't be fast... then be heavy....

Traditional shooters subscribe to the same line of thought. You are going to have to get pretty close no matter what... and even though lots of people THINK a 300fps bow will get to a deer before he can load his legs to bound away... they are mistaking.
