With my Rem 700 XCR .30-06 I've had great luck in the past few years with the Federal 150 grain Power Shok ammo (Blue Box). It's economically priced, very accurate, and puts the deer down fast. Last year I shot a 260 pound buck that dropped on the spot. This year I shot a 250 pound buck that went 10 yards. See attached photo evidence.
