I don't know if any of you will necessarily agree with me on this, but there are several phrases that have been cropping up as of late that I'm getting tired of hearing. They include but aren't limited to;
"He isn't my biggest, but..."
"He isn't huge, but..."
"Time was running out, so I..."
"He's alright, but..."

Not saying I agree or disagree, but a qualifying statement like that isn't necessarily always bad.
For Instance:
"He isn't my biggest, but still a shooter in my book"
"He isn't huge, but I'm proud of him"
Just playing the devil's advocate here buddy, BUT I totally understand what you're saying
