Small rant...
I don't know if any of you will necessarily agree with me on this, but there are several phrases that have been cropping up as of late that I'm getting tired of hearing. They include but aren't limited to;
"He isn't my biggest, but..."
"He isn't huge, but..."
"Time was running out, so I..."
"He's alright, but..."
Did I maybe miss something when things like this are posted? You just shot a buck with your bow. You should be proud. That is an accomplishment.
What happened to the days where any deer taken with a bow was an accomplishment worth bragging to your buddies about back at camp? I don't know if its the big buck commercialization we've seen in the recent past or what, but man am I ever tired of hearing things like this.
Be proud of what you shoot. Celebrate the accomplishment you've made. If you have to start the sentence with "He isn't huge, but..." probably you aren't proud of it. If you aren't proud of it, why shoot it?
