If you want to get real, why do you still hunt from a stand? I shot a nice 7 pointer this year sitting on a bucket on the ground, sitting in front of some dead fall trees. Not even a blind or cloth put up, nothing. BUT, I would still say I was just sitting in the woods waiting.

To me, the ulimate, real hunt would be to find deer tracks and follow them and track down the deer, sneak up on it, and shot it with a bow. That would be really challenging.

So what if someone sits on the ground, on a bucket, in a stand, in a blind, in a box, or a heated box? Sure, the heated, enclosed stand will let you sit there longer, or more comfortably, but its not that much different than you sitting in your tree stand. Sure, you must be more careful of movement, but thats about it.
