I'd recommend washingwith a good handfull of baking soda. Then hang in the wind and sun for a few days. I'd stay away from artificial scents that are supposed to smell like, to us, like something familiar. Deer know what stuff smells like. I don't know that they would be fooled bychemicals that simulate a real scent.
exactly use baking soda... My friend tried to tell me his Hunting detergent could get all the smells out. Well we washed it with his stuff and you could still smell the orginal odor with a hint of woods. Then i washed in Baking Soda (non scented) and pulled it out and it was all gone, no smell.

I used baking soda before all the detergants came out, ive tried them all and baking soda is cheaper and more effective.
