Making wooden stands isn't that difficult if you have to tools. Just our main type of stand around here. (Don't care if people say their safe or not, we never had trouble.) If you're using it for bowhunting which I guess you are by where you posted this, then you shouldn't put a railing on it. I'm sure you could find dimensions on how to make one somewere on the internet.
