I use them,
When you attach the stand to the tree make sure the platform is folded up. Tighten the strap with platform folded up and when you get it tight then push the platform down, this will lock it into place.
I do that with every gorillai own, and i own probably 15 of them. there solid as can be after that.
Do you use any rachet straps, or the strap that came with the Scout? Also, about what dia. tree's do you think it works best in?
