Spray it in the spring with Arrest by whitetail Institute about a month before you plant. Then a week befor you plat till it. Make sure after you till it, you smooth it out. Go over it with a yard roller.After you till it the ground will be fluffy and you need to compact it or the seed will go to deep into the ground.Put the seed down with firt. about 50-100 lbs of 12-12-12, then go over it with a yard roller one more time (only if you can take 2/3 to 3/4 of the water out of it) you dont want the yard roller to be to heavy or you could crush the seed to deep into the ground. If your seed gets put in the groung to deep nothing will grow. good luck and remember that your first year is the hardest.
