Mike,
For me personally things have been going well. On the other hand I have been as busy as a one armed paper hanger.
Kares dads cancer has came back (mid June) really bad this time so she has been doing those almost daily doctor appointments with him.
I in turn learned how much she helps me when we pull honey and extract it. I did that all alone this year and some thing that normally takes about a week turned into 3 weeks. Still have one holding tank full of honey to strain yet to, but am in no hurry to do that. It is going to the wholesaler any way.
Since Kare is so busy I am staying home this year so I can take care of the animals and do the bees feed and medicines. Even that is running behind.I did set up two of my portable blinds in the woods and a over growen fence row yesterday. Today I am setting up the third one plus taking out the 700/ 54 to shoot. Got some 300gr. Gold Dots in white MMP sabots you sent I'm going to try. I ran out of the purple MMP sabots so I could shoot the 300gr. 50 cal Gold Dots.
Just didn't get around to ordering them in time to use this season.
Nice thing about that Remmy, it shoots nearly every thing you can push down the bore well.
Got to wondering last evening about trying those 50 cal bullets in some Knight sabots you sent that swim in the bore with .452 bullets
I like hunting white tails and have gotten real picky in my old age as to what I want to shoot and butcher.
It sure is a joy just to set in the woods and watch the wild life do some of the crazyest stuff.
The hunting in the lower this year should be really different too since they banned baiting.
Still caught over 150 in my county alone so far and the fine is $500.00 for the first time. Bow season started Oct. first.
We have an Elk season here in Mich. It is a drawing permit system and I feel to costly for the type of hunt it is. I feel I could go out west and hunt for about the same money.
