Here in Southern Michigan the deer are really overpopulated. I will never judge another hunter, but unless I am going to spend the $600.00 for a should mount, then I am taking a doe. However, I always make exceptions if the animal is injured, bad genetics, etc... The picture below is buck I made an exception for due to the fact that I had him on some trail cameras and wanted him out of the herd last year.The taxidermist aged him at 5 years.
