Watched a mink catch a rabbit in a brushpile near one of my stands last year. That was a riot. I can imagine they would be difficult to exclude simply by patching the hole they use now. They'll find another way to get in. Applying the wire or hardware cloth around the entire structure seems like the best answer, unless you could catch him in the act. Then there's an obvious solution (bang!), until the next mink comes along.
