RE: Who "knows" about does and BB's?
ive seen a lone BB opening week of bow season (early oct) just this year...he was a large BB and didnt look lost or confused (like i see many that are looking that way)
id tend to agree with "whenever" probably something it is very far from anything anyone can come up with some consistence with...
id almost think that if mom never ran him off, that when the buck came to chase her and breed her, he will run him off....just defending/claiming his doe.
ive always thought lone antlerless deer were likely to be BBs...and cant remember ever seeing 2 BBs running together...till last year in flintlock season...2 yearlings came out of a drive behind about 20 other deer...they were about last in line and all alone...i checked quick but not well enough...smoke cleared and there laid my BB...they were both BBs as the other ran by i seen its buttons...guess mom ran them both off and they hung out together...i figured mom got hit or killed and it was going to be 2 yearling doe...no regrets...but i was shocked, though i should knew better and not assumed...
