Default RE: No More Small Bucks!

Some of you are hiding behind the law and personally I think that shows weak moral fiber. Let's get off the bucks for a moment and talk fishing which most us do. How many largemouth bass have you thrown back over the years (or whatever your favorite species is). Do you keep every singlelegal fish that you catch?
I know thatin most parts ofour countrythat's the way it used to be and fishing became very poor. Very few fish were reaching maturity and the entire fishery suffered. Many fishermen complained of not catching any big ones. Now fishermen havesacked-up andrealized that if they let go a 14" fish today, it has the chance to become a 16,18, etc as well as helping produce more offspring for better overall fishing. Most fishermen have done this without mandates from the law, they have done it for two reasons 1. to enhance the fishery 2. So that they and their fishing buddiesmay increase the odds of catching what is in their minds a "trophy" fish.
Let the kids keep a few 12" bass if it's legal? You bet! New fisherman? Absolutely!
A small buck is no different than that bass or walleye or muskie. We don't need the law to tell us that "Hey, I've already caught/shot a dozen or so like him, maybe I don't need to keep/shoot this one ." Many of you are republicans who would rather self govern, rather than have someone tell us what we can or can't do. Time to prove it with deer hunting just like you have with fishing and quit hiding behind what may or may not be legal in your part of the woods.
