VA what you state is the rule and not the exception imo. I too have an uncle that went to my graqndfathers club last year to bowhunt. He swore he was ready and the first time he shot it during mid day break his peep fly's out. The string was more or less dry rotted, and what he does not realize was the danger of the bow blowing up...much less wounding a deer. Same uncle shoots and misses 2 does at less than fifty yards this weekend with a rifle...swears the gun was dead on and must be messed up. I like this conversation as it should peak everones interest of what is a trophy to them.
To answer your original question, it would diminish it for me if they were everywhere and then 160 would be the dream/goal. I only shoot bucks that I will mount, so this more or less does not affect me either way...I may mount a thick beam, short tined, beautiful 110 8pt and let a skinny looking 125 walk the next day.
