I purchased a camera last year and have had it on public land for a year now. No one has messed with it yet. I belong to a cabin on state and its about a 3 mile walk to get to the area on a logging trail so there aren't a whole lot of hunters in the area until rifle season. I take it down during rifle season to decrease the chance of someone finding it. I also try to hide it is so its not real obvious.
