rybo, you bring up a goodpoint. It's already a fiasco to get an antlerless tag now.

I think the bottom line is that if you break the WMU's into smaller chunks, someone will lose out each year with where they can and can't get a doe tag. However, it's a small price to pay to get the populations up in less fortunate areas.

It still baffles me that guys will hunt the same spots year after year knowing there are few deer in this area. Enough guys like that in an area who are eventually successful are usually the first to bitch about the lack of deer.
i still hunt same area idid for 47 years.
there are years i dont get a buck, i dont hunt doewhen there are few.i go days that i dont even see a deer, 6 am to dark.

i do bitch that there are very few deer in 1 mile of area.i figure right now that there is 6 deer in about 5 mile sq area in my hunting area.

in that 5 mile area there are miles without deer.

killing a buck anywhereis not a trill for me, killing a buck where there are few and i have memories IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO ME.

why cant i MANAGE the area i hunt.
why cant i lease my area so i can slowdown the doe killing.

they laughed when i talked about LEASING areas of stateforestland.

i have deer on my privateland, i hate to hunt there,no fun only killing a farm feed half tame buck.
