RE: Good Pair Of Boots
I like Meindle Perfekt Hunters. Substantially zero break-in. Comfortable but still solid for mountain hiking, climbing. The other boot recommendation I would have -- a backpacking boot -- is the Limmer Standard. This is a very stout backpacking boot, good for rocky terrain carrying heavy loads on your back. Expensive -- $325/pair. Also . . . it turns out they are manufactured for Limmer in Germany by Meindle. They are great boots, but unlike the Perfekt Hunters, they have no insulation and are pretty cold when it gets to about 20 degrees outside. This is the extent of my personal experience with boots.
