The ramrod has me puzzled. I have not loaded the gun yet, but when you put the rod down the bore it disappears, drops in a couple inches too. I know it is a 2 piece rod, but I want to be able to reload without taking time to extend the rod. Does the load take up enough of the breech area so the ramrod will be above the muzzle when loading? Seems like it will be close.
The ramrod in my opinon is the weak point of the gun. don't really know why they made it like they did... You don't have to extend it when loading. I shoot as little as 80g in it and with the charge and bullet it in the barrel it is long enough.(going from memory I think it has about 1/2in sticking out)You will have to extend it to swab though. However, I just use a range rod and only use the ramrod that came with it for hunting.
Hope this helps.
