Traditions Pursuit LT Range Report
Well we took my buddies Pursuit Lt out today and gave it a run. All the saboted bullets (240 XTPs that came with it, 250 gr and 300 gr shockwaves, and 300 gr XTPs with crushed rib sabots) were extremely hard to load. They shot OK but wow, they were tight. Fortunately the most accurate were the 320 gr REAL bullets I casted. And these, although also tight, were easier to load. The rifle put 3 of these into a cloverleaf at 50 yds.
But on another note, this rifle looks like a POS. Before going out, he had to glue the front sight back into place. During the sight in, the rear sight cracked while adjusting it. The bluing looks like my 4 year old grandson did it. And the trigger is horrible.
Still, it seemed to shoot OK. But I'm afraid it won't last long in his gun safe.
I took out my T/C 50 cal percussion GM LRH and shot 3 300 gr shockwaves and 3 300 gr XTPs. Swabbing with a spit patch between shots, all 6 were right where I wanted them with no difference in POI. (2" high at 50 yds.)
