IMO, no matter what you use to treat your barrel, gun oil, bore butter or whatever, - I think after firing, especially a couple of times, you are going to burn off that protective coating.
Now, mix a bare unprotected barrel withresidue and humidity and you are just asking for trouble.
And by the way, ain't no way I will pay the price for BH powder. I do perfectly fine with Pyrodex and Goex.
