According to deer researcher T.R. Michels (and other researchers) does and fawns often use a Social Contact Call (Social Grunt)to get back together after they have been seperated, and they will do it all year long -so you can use a grunt anytime you hunt.
He statesthat what most manufacturers refer to as a "doe bleat" is actually the Social Contact Call, which any buck looking for a doe during the rut may respond to.I've called several bucks infrom September through December with this call.
Since deer use it all year long, it is natural, and may bring in a buck, so what have you got to loose? You may attract a buck you don't see.
