Default RE: New 45 Encore barrel

Got a chance to shoot some of the 250 gr.SST' s today, they shot well I thought.
The best 3 shot group was 1.062 using 100 grs of pyrodex pellets, next group was a 5 shot group using 100 grs of pyrodex select 2.116,3rd group was a 4 shot group(run out of bullets)was 1.883 using 110 grs of pyrodex select.Didn' t shoot any one hole groups but I think those are good enough to take any deer within 150 yds.
I had better luck with these than I did with the PrB in 240 gr dead center,Next time I want to try some with the clean shot and T7.
One thing with the pyrodex I didn' t have to struggle getting the breeh plug out after shooting all those shots. Also tried the power belts in 245 grs with 100 and 150 gr pellets but didn' t get much of a group with either load.
Still waiting on the 200 gr SST' s to come out,if they shoot as good as the 250 grs I will be happy.
I paid $9.99 for abox of 20 here but I saw them I believe at MIDSOUTH for $7 something a box.Good price compared to the other premium muzzleloader bullets.
The 250' s are out in the T/C shock wave bullets too they were $9.50 for a box of 15 here.
