Hey, I' ve never hunted with one, and don' t know anyone personally who does?

I' m definitely interested in buying one perhaps though.

Are they good for deer out to 250 yds.?
With a good hit, are deer going to run a long way (my biggest concern)?
Do they ruin a lot of meat?
