New to gun hunting and want to do it right the first time. Just got my first rifle (Savage 111 bolt action 30.06) Looking forward to many memories in the field. When it comes to ammo, this has been a debate with everyone I ask as I realize there will be varables and of course personal opinion. I am looking for rifleman's experience:
I have research and inquired about the Hornady 150gr SST for deer and pigs. Plain and simple question:is this a good choice? Looks great on paper and the local pro shop highly recommeds it, what do YOU think. Thanks everyone.
