If you happen to luck out and kill one how far of a drag are you looking at?? Mine are all between 1/4 and 1/2 miles with NO truck access. Now that is work!!

It averages about 2 miles here with anything from 1000 - 2500' elevation loss. So my "drag" is approximately 50 feet from where they drop and I gut them to where I butcher them and load them in my pack. The only reason I drag them at all is to get away from the gutpile in case a bear shows up while I'm butchering it. That at least distracts them long enough to get the $*#& out of there.
