I'm in MA shrewand have hunted CT so I knowyou would be lucky to see a deer at 65yds never mind taking a shot at one. You really should try the judo points and pop bottles.(not the2 liter). It's a great one man game if nothing else. I hope your shooting out of your stand as much as possible even if it's at ground level. Try a couple of shots at five yards froma stand 20 ft up. Thats a major eye opener.
