it is on public state forest land and the area is about 3 or 4000 acres but there is not much of it open to hunting so no one knows about it or hunts it. kind of a hidden jem.

First you should find out who owns the land and get permission. Im sure you already know that though.
As far as getting there i would think by water would be MUCH more silent then tredging through a mile of swamp.
