I think it is QUITE a bit naïve to think everyone has the ability to just “go buy their own land” to hunt on. Life is FAR more complex than just being able to tell someone to go buy their own hunting land.

SOMEBODY has to hunt the suburban areas or the deer problems would be 10x worse than the already are.

On one hand I’d like to see the deer management left more in the hands of the landowners, BUT on the flip side to that, I have absolutely ZERO faith in the average hunter’s mentality to manage the deer properly. And everything I’ve seen in PA backs that. Not that they are perfect, but I think the PGC can run things better than the moron PA hunting public.
