Seriously though. A 300 win. mag to the jug can not be handled by any deer. I do want to repeat that I would not shoot a deer in the neck with an arrow. I am confused why the rifle to neck deserves a sack punch or sack kick. Destroy any area of the neck with a gun and I promise you it will be in the pan! Obviously there will be an exception somewhere, but not many.
I agree, with a 12 gauge shot gun im yet to see a deer NOT drop on the spot after being hit in the neck. Although it is very possible that a short tracking job could ensue.
