Neck shots are great with a rifle, the shock kills 'em quick. If I shot a 500 lb bow with a 10 lb arrow I might take neck shots with a blunt but, since I don't, I'm not stupid enough to try a neck shot with a bow[8D]

No shot is 100 % sure with a bow or a gun. In my opinion the best shot with a gunis in the neck for a quick, clean, stressless,humane kill. Conditions do exist though.I really think that most deer taste better with a quick kill.I have been hunting these magnificent animals for over 45 years and have found the ones that drop instantly don't have the time for their bodies to get all tensed up, which to me results in wilder tasting meat. I wouldn't advise everyone to try a neck shot though. You have to be a very good shot.

I wouldn't attempt a neck shot with a bow however.

Some of you older hunters probably remember the story about cutting the throat and bleeding the deer. No need to do this either.

some of us know it is unethical just not all of us. ethics is a person opinion nothing else. but i do agree it is a bad shot to take
