Default RE: Shooting for Semisane and his storm

Hi guys! Checking in from Canton, Georgia on my niece's computer. Thanks for all of the good wishes.

I've just received word from my son back in River Ridge, LA (New Orleans suburb) that everything is OK at the homestead, and electric power has already been restored at my house. Since power was out for less than 24 hours, I didn't loose my 17 c.f. deep freezer full of food. As a comparison, we didn't have power for three weeks after Hurricane Katrina.

It was an "interesting" experience evacuating two million people from the N.O. metropolitian area. Our normal drive from my house to my sister-in-law's in Canton is about 8 hours. Well, we left home at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning - hit unbelievable stop-and-go traffic all of the way through Mississippi and Alabamain the mass evacuation - and arrived at my sister-in-laws at 5:50 Monday morning. Over 21 hours on the road with two fifteen minute stops forgas and one thirty minute stop for food. EXHAUSTING!!!

Anyway, everything's good now and we'llvisit here for the rest of the week. I'll be checking out any local gun shops and pawn shops I can find. Got to get away from all of these womennow and then (wife, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, two nieces, and two FEMALE dogs).
