Your buddies are NUTS!!!!! I am as confident as anybody probably has been with a bow and i will not shoot past 50. I have shot out to 100 just messing around on the range and there is NO WAY i would ever shoot at a animal at 70. At that distance you have no room for human error, much less wind, trees, deer movement, or anything else you can think of. I believe no ethical hunter would ever shoot that far.
